Abstract

An abstract is the main issues studied in this study are the lack of good skills in number operations that have not been able to support students understanding of other sciences in mathematics such as computing, measuring, and others. The lack of mathematical disposition of students also supports the inability of students in generating their sense of love for mathematics learning. In addition, the ability of students understanding and communication of mathematics becomes one of the students in completing the mathematical problems. The population in this study were all elementary school students in West Bandung regency. The test instrument is tested and non-tested. The test instrument consists of a description of the ability of comprehension and communication as well as a questionnaire on the attitude scale of the students mathematical disposition. This instrument is used to obtain data on students understanding and communication skills and mathematical dispositions on mathematics learning with the RME approach and in the usual way. The data processed in this study is from posttest score. These scores are each from the experimental class group and the control class group then performed data processing. Processing was done by t-test and t-test of both groups. The final result of this research concludes that the influence of the use of ICT based props on the ability of understanding and communication and mathematical disposition of students whose learning with RME approach is better than the usual way.
