Abstract
This paper describes the idea of developing childrens story books containing STEM for elementary students. Integration makes STEM as the preferred learning design that is considered most relevant to the demands and progress of the era so that it is widely applied in various levels of education. For these purposes, adequate learning tools are required that are appropriate to the characteristics of learners. Childrens story books containing STEM are both relevant sources and learning media to introduce the concept to elementary students. Childrens story are an effective and fun communication tool for children that allows the STEM content to be engaging with interest. Childrens story books containing STEM can be developed using Educational Design Research (EDR) research models and using didactic literature approaches. The objective resulted in the design of developing childrens story books containing STEM and prototype childrens story books containing STEM.
